Bhavya Mitra is a seasoned Economist & Consultant who has created quite a name for herself in the Financial and Banking Sector in just a span of 5 years.
She’s currently working with EY India and is aligned with Government & Public Sector, successfully contributing in areas related to Public Fund Management and Financial Analysis for Central and State Governments.
In her previous role with Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India she served as a Young Professional (Economist) in Financial Stability Division.
Bhavya was responsible for decision making in issues related to Public Policies and successfully monitored and mitigated risks impacting the Indian Economy in the said Division.
She is an avid reader and researcher who constantly keeps herself updated with the market fluctuations, monetary and fiscal trends, which makes her an asset to the team as well as the project she is working on. One of her latest deliveries was her study on the practices of RegTech & SupTech in world economies & the scope of same in India.
Furthermore, she also holds interest in Climate Change Risks, Sustainable and Green Financing which, in recent times, is hugely impacting the Financial Sector world-wide.
In 2021, she had published an article on “Impact of Covid-19 on the Performance of Indian Equity Market in 2020” in research journal of a top Indian University which was widely appreciated by the audience.
She had started her career with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) as an officer in Corporate Banking. She had worked on various Fund & Non-fund based products of the banking sector. She gained expertise in areas related to Trade Financing for Indian and Japanese entities.
She has always had a humble and harmonious approach in her professional journey which has helped her grow professionally.
As her career progresses with recognitions and applauds, she aims to serve globally in her areas of interest- Economics & Finance.
Bhavya holds a master’s degree in Economics from Indira Gandhi National Open University and Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Finance from Birla Institute of Management Technology. She has also completed Economic Honours from Delhi University.
